Description

The proposed site for Al Rahba Celebration Plaza is located within a diverse community, primarily consisting of residential areas. The park aims to serve as a civic gathering and recreational space, connecting residents and pedestrians to nearby institutions such as a hospital, school, and other institutional buildings. It will feature expansive open areas, dedicated cycle and pedestrian paths, and various activity spaces for relaxation, fitness, and group gatherings. As a centerpiece within a larger network of open spaces and community facilities, including a local school, the park will provide a unique and communal environment. It will be easily accessible through existing and future expanded cycle and pedestrian paths, as well as public transportation routes.

Al Rahba Celebration Plaza is part of a vision to create a network of landmark city parks that serve as central gathering places, reflecting the local heritage and culture of celebration. It will be a place that brings people together through play, sports, gatherings, and events. Designed in alignment with Abu Dhabi’s livability aspirations, the park will offer well-shaded spaces for year-round use. The circular patterns and elements incorporated into the design are inspired by the lunar cycle, symbolizing unity and togetherness.
